Preservation Philosophy

Erika Henson has spent her career protecting cultural heritage requires a multidisciplinary approach that balances the needs of both the built and natural environment. Modern-day historians contextualize a people’s past, and relay that information to the public, describing the truth of a people’s contribution to the human fabric and global heritage tapestry. True historians know that every contribution is remarkable, but every story doesn't get told or survive the test of time, they have to look deeper. I am part conservationist, part preservationist, and part jurist. I use all of my training and experience, to be the historian that your history deserves,  past, present, and future-focused, holistic, and balanced.

What a county chooses to save is what a county chooses to say about itself.
